GTEAN offers 3 types of membership

• 1. Active Membership
• 2. Allied l Membership
• 3. Honor Membership

The basic criteria to become Active member of GTEAN, the Trekking, Travel and Rafting agency must have at least one year of operation experience of the business.
Allied membership is specially for non tour and travel agents. The companies such as Airlines, Hotels, International tour and travel agents, Trekking Agents, Mountaineering Agents, Rafting, Expedition, Tourism related academy, Restaurants, and any other tourism related business are eligible for Allied Member. Any corporate house may apply for Allied Membership.
Honor membership is especially for those who contribute to our organization. It could be any social prestigious organizations and persons from national or abroad/international. This membership will distribute free of cost and will be continuously renew until and unless the honored member denies.

Membership Criteria:

You may collect membership form from NATTA Secretariat for Rs 100. The form consists of Membership form, Application form and company profile form. Following are the some of the fields to be filled up on form.

• Office name
• Office contact address
• Staff Name/Qualifications
• Nature of business (Trekking/Rafting/Travel agency)

Following are the important documents to be submitted along with the form (Mandatory):

• Foreign Exchange permission certificate from Nepal Rastra Bank (Central Bank Of Nepal)
• Letter of recommendation from Bank (in which the company has an account)
• Managing Director/Chairman/CEO/executive (any one); CV/Bio Data, 2 PP size photo and citizenship’s photocopy
• PAN CARD’s photocopy
• Tourism Industry registration photocopy
• Small and cottage Industry office-registration photocopy
• VAT Reg No. (Only if registered with VAT)

All the above mentioned complete documents from the applicant will be reviewed by the GTEAN membership coordinator and will approve but may ask more help if any insufficient documents.
Then the GTEAN membership coordinator will present the report on Board Meeting. The final decision on granting the membership to the applicant company shall remain with the GTEAN executive board.

The applicant company will then receive a letter of grant of membership and request for payment of membership fee. 

Membership Fees:

• Entry Fee: Rs 1000 (Once time only)
• Annual Fee: Rs 3000 (Annual Recurring fee)
• Total fee: Rs 4000 (first time only)

Each member will have to renew GTEAN membership in each fiscal year with Rs 3000 as an annual fee.
Rs. 1000 fine will be applied if the payment is not made within 3 months from the starting of next fiscal year. The member shall be suspended if the membership fee is not paid within 3 months from the next fiscal year.

The suspended member will not be allowed to participate on Annual General Meeting and other gatherings and meetings. If the member failed to pay all the dues by that fiscal year, the GTEAN membership will be automatically void.
